Today’s benevolent Grand Trine with Venus, Jupiter, and Moon promises to imbue a lively, loving, and expansive influence upon us. We are able to communicate well with loved ones, express our feelings with a degree of emotional detachment, and better understand where each person stands in our lives and within the relationships we have with them. It is sincerely a wonderful day to plan to enjoy outdoors in the late summer breeze. Perhaps we can invite some friends to get together someplace where everyone can share food, stories, music, and laughter. And hopefully we can all take away some much needed joy and gratitude for the friendships we embrace and cultivate.
Though Mars is not aspecting actual celestial bodies, it is in Cancer squaring Moon’s nodes, which helps amplify the tremendous importance we put upon the safety, security, and protection of our family and home. We are also learning, perhaps painfully, how to exert ourselves in the process of sharing our feelings and emotions. There is a good deal of volatile sensitivity with Mars in Cancer, so if we or anyone we know is acting a bit touchy, we should try to be understanding and empathetic to their inner battles and perhaps blatant methods of expressing themselves. A good practice for the latter part of today is to actively work to harmonize our emotions by laying them bare and admitting we want to feel more secure with ourselves.

Aptly timed, Moon’s trine to Mars reinforces yesterday’s efforts to establish more inner security with ourselves. There is a distant rhythm of waves gently, or not, breaking on the shores of our hearts, hoping we make time to feel our feelings and obtain a greater understanding of them. This requires some quiet and solitude, maybe a pen and paper, and definitely an open heart and mind to what we might discover about ourselves. There is so much emotional depth and a vast range of memories likely flowing through us today. We should be aware of the possibility for some unconscious emotional outbursts, too. Mars can be unpredictable, especially when under the spell of watery influences.
Coupled with these emotional realms, we can also expect to touch upon our inner traumas and how we are working through them, both personally and within our relationship dynamics. Is there someone who is there for us in times of triggered trauma? Do we have a sense of support and compassion when it comes to the difficult journey of overcoming and healing our wounds? If there is anyone in our lives who we entrust our feelings and vulnerabilities to, we may need to call upon them today to help lift us up out of that pain and back onto the tracks that will lead us to fortifying our desires to thrive once more. When we feel helpless and alone, any effort to reach out to someone we love for support and guidance is going to help realign our perspective and attitude towards greater hope and serenity.

The stakes are high for what we are facing in our lives these days, and today’s transits and Lunar Eclipse encapsulate those challenges very clearly. The contrast of chaos and order in our lives prevails across the entire spectrum. Ultimately, we do not have control over very much in our lives, no matter how much we may think we do. So much can change so quickly that we have to learn to be prepared for that possibility. And while we are spending so much of our time and energy trying to maintain some semblance of order and control, boundaries, laws, ethics, extremism, escapism, confusion, and disillusionment are all waiting at the door.
This all of course sounds rather ominous, but we all have the capacity to diminish our grasp on expectations and attachments. This is the calling of this Full Moon. Faith. Not necessarily religious devotional faith, but faith in the unknowable natural order of time and space. We must learn to understand how valuable it is to reconcile the illusion that we are in control of our life and the world around us. In a way we are, but that is only because we are the embodiment of those unknowable natural forces. We just tend to believe we can tame and manipulate them more than we actually can.
How are we accepting the truths we cannot deny? How well have we humbled ourselves into recognizing we are merely instruments of a Great Spirit, like a river learning to not be afraid of becoming the sea? Blessings come in mysterious ways, so if we can learn to let go of our attachments to expected outcomes, we can watch in awe as the blessings and outcomes mysteriously unfold before us. Of course we must think, act, and interact, for these are integral means of existing in time and space, but at some point in so many ways we must learn to have faith that everything will work out the way it is supposed to. We must not lose hope for what lies ahead.

There is very likely going to be a tension that is hard to understand this morning. This will feel very akin to the feels of yesterday’s subtle confusions and chaos. While we will try hard to keep our logistics and tasks orderly and functioning properly, there is something in the air that wants us to take a step back to see the bigger picture and the greater purpose of why we try to keep those things functioning properly. Is there something sacred humming through the ether that brings pause and wants us to recognize it? Recognize it for its innate value compared to our efforts to align, organize, and control everything? Reconciling the value of optimum life functionality with an elevated awareness of the sacred mysteries is the riddle on the table for us to solve today.
As the day carries on, we will seem to emerge out of a chrysalis wanting to launch headstrong into whatever we desire, perhaps foolishly and carelessly. The mutual reception and square between Moon and Mars combine to emotionally charge our fearless and reckless tendencies. It would not be a bad idea to find a healthy means of exhausting ourselves physically this afternoon and/or evening. A swim would be ideal, but a good jog or active yoga practice would help, too. We are offered a glimpse into our primal desires today, shining a light upon what motivates us, excites us, thrills us, and impassions us. This is an extremely valuable moment to be watchful for, because what we truly want in life is so often overshadowed by responsibilities, emotional disturbances, and the intrusion of the will of others upon us. What do we want?

There may seem to be an electric frenzy blowing through the air today that entices us to elevate something very important to us. And no, we are not elevating our feet in front of the TV, we are experiencing an opportunity to make something better, to improve upon something that means a lot to us. There is a competent groundedness available to not just encourage the feasibility of improvement, but to follow through with it and bring such a refreshing new perspective and outlook into our lives for the betterment of all those around us. This is such an open and flowing opportunity for a sudden and rapid diversion from an old way of thinking and doing. It may be small, but it can mean a lot.
So much of whatever we may hope to elevate and improve upon will directly affect our efforts to master our skills and strengths, as well as our relationships. We certainly have what it takes to evolve and grow through life, but we are often too stubborn and unwilling to give up the comfort and familiarity of all we have gotten so used to. As we ramble through our sorrows, we will begin to notice the cause of those sorrows are rooted in a rigidity and resistance to change. It is quite likely a loved one could point this out to us somehow today, at least in a subtle roundabout way, and we may find ourselves at odds with such an attempt. How can we raise the bars of our lives to strive and thrive?

There will likely be no shortage of subtle disarray today. Our minds, our plans, our perfect categories of controlled dimensions of our lives are all subjected to the upending forces of chaos, or at least confusion. What we cannot control, once again, rear their heads to remind us our sense of place in time and space is merely an illusion. How do we counter this reality without giving up on our efforts to maintain order? How do we avoid throwing in the towel and dropping out of the race? We learn to understand the sacred value of mystery and the unknowable by embracing it as beauty and magic, thereby instilling a more appreciative perspective and more humorous approach to the oddities we face each day.
False information, fake news, disillusioned leaders, and outlandish propositions can flood our streets on days like this. We must hold fast to our fragile consciousness while embracing the pliability of its mutability. We can get sucked into social media rabbit holes and delusional threads of ludicrous opinions, so we should do what we can to avoid those realms today. Perhaps making time to ground ourselves in a forest or up on a hillside will reinvigorate our senses and perspective back onto a more solid and clear footing. Cozying up under a blanket with some delicious comfort food this evening will certainly help allay any unforeseen confusion we stumbled upon throughout the day.

The challenge today is grounding and integrating the plethora of knowledge and information we have been gathering over the past few months into our daily lives. The effort necessary to make the most of this challenge requires we focus like we have maybe never focused before. How do we do this? How do we avoid distractions and emotional upheavals in order to fully implement what we have learned to allow our lives to function that much better? Maybe we should consider the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life for their sake and not our own. Have we developed a sincere appreciation for selfless service? Imagine if we all spent even a small portion of our day helping someone else in some way or another?
There can be much clarity surrounding our finances and resources today. We can clearly see if our means match our expenditures, and if they do not, what we can do about that. It can seem there is a challenge to right that ship to a proper heading so we do not run aground somewhere where no one will find us. Finding consolation in our wherewithal to manage our lives, support ourselves, and provide a sense of security to loved ones can be a priceless pursuit, so putting forth diligent and focused effort to get there, even if requires some sacrifices, will help us achieve that virtuous sense of serenity and tranquility. The work never ends, but our attitude towards that work can develop into gratitude and satisfaction if we learn how to let go of our outlandish fantasies and desires for what we do not need. We should know by now that so often less is more.
It is no small wonder that life gives us what we need exactly when we need it. Of course it may not seem this way at certain times, but synchronicity plays out so magically sometimes that we cannot deny the likelihood of a great mysterious spirit flowing through all of time and space. This sacred mystery will most likely show us its ways this week through strange confusions, out-of-body daydreams, uncanny encounters, and stark reminders of where we need to focus more attention in our lives. May we breathe through the chaos and have faith the natural order of the universe is playing out its mastery right before our very eyes at all times.
